Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician

Katherine was born in Texas but moved to Tennessee in 2001 and has lived in the Middle Tennessee area since. She currently lives in White House with her husband Alex, and their two children JR and Riley Jo. Katherine’s passion for animals started with her childhood pets and only grew as she joined the National FFA organization and agriculture classes in high school. She is passionate about being able to be a voice for the creatures who are unable to speak for themselves and credits her ability to advocate for the animals as one of the best parts of her career.
Katherine joined BOPH in March of 2024 as our Lead LVMT, she was drawn here due to the overall culture and low-stress environment we uphold and promote every day. She was excited about joining such an amazing team and being able to assist the nursing team in any way she can and be apart of the larger mission of the hospital.
Katherine has special areas of interest in surgery and anesthesia as well as emergency and critical care. She spent 5 years of her career in specialty surgery running anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries from standard orthopedic cases to emergency and high-risk surgical candidates. She also spent time in the critical care Department helping care for higher-risk hospitalized patients.
